New representation office

of Nice Tourism and Congress Office

in Russia

Within the framework of its development and for the purpose of optimizing Nice presence at the priority market, the GSO+ company will represent the city of Nice in Russia from the beginning of the year.

Being far famed due to its historical relations with Russia that started in XIXth century, Nice managed to position itself quickly at this market notably to develop leisure tourism. The attendance of Nice by Russian tourists has increased dramatically during last years, especially in summer period.

Nice also takes advantage of direct air traffic with Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Now the point to make is to promote tourism in low season thanks to the special targeting to professional meetings and business tourism in general. This development will be supported by enhancement of lucidity of leisure offers, notably in sector of events attending (Carnival and Christmas village), to encourage growth of short term visits. The point is also to enhance image of the destination in the eyes of professionals and press representatives.

The company GSO+ operates in Russia for more than 15 years; apart from everything else it is developing different activities of representing and promoting professional tourism partners. Hereby, this company has a good idea of Russian economics and tourism.

The Calendar of actions to undertake is still under development.
